From November 17-19, 2023, the North Bay Film Festival at the Capitol Centre featured nine feature films and nine juried Canadian shorts, including acclaimed titles like “Anatomy of a Fall” and “Past Lives.” Free for students, the festival opened with “Blue Jean” and “My Animal,” and highlighted Northern Ontario films such as “The Boy in the Woods” and “Blooms.” Festival highlights included director Q&A’s, a Cinema Social event, and the inaugural 48-Hour Film Competition.
