Set in the aftermath of a fictional North American civil war sparked by government-imposed climate change measures, this gripping tale follows Nia (Mathews), her sister Penny, and her boyfriend Ethan (Smith) as they hide out with a mismatched group of family, friends, and neighbors in a remote lake house. When an anti-government militia leader (Sawa) and his followers arrive at their doorstep, the group is thrust into a high-stakes dilemma: should they surrender or join the resistance movement and fight back? The film explores the devastating effects of climate change and the harrowing experiences of civilians caught in a conflict that reshapes their world, emphasizing themes of survival and community in times of crisis.
