The Near North Mobile Media Lab and North Bay Film Festival (NBFF) are excited to unveil the prizes for the 2025 48-Hour Film Competition. This year’s competition challenges filmmakers of all ages and skill levels to create a short film on the theme of “Worlds Collide” within just 48 hours.

Registration Fee: $25 per team
Registration Deadline: October 17th, 2025
Competition Dates: October 24th (launch) to October 26th, 2025 (submission deadline)

Prizes:

🏆 1ST PLACE

• $500 Cash Prize
• $270 Screening Fee + Presentation at NBFF & on NBFF website
• $1,000 Lighting & Grip rental (Sunbelt Rentals, Sudbury)
• $300 Equipment rental (N2M2L)

🏆 2ND PLACE

• $100 Website presentation fee
• $200 Equipment rental (N2M2L)

🏆 3RD PLACE

• $100 Website presentation fee
• $100 Equipment rental (N2M2L)
